Every Shitty Thing – The Extract Series #5
A monthly post for my paid subscribers
Once a month, I share an extract from my memoir “Every Shitty Thing – One Woman’s Journey Through Brothers, Betrayals and Botox.” I include personal notes about the extract, such as why I wrote that passage, what was happening for me at the time, or during the writing process – a kind of behind-the-scenes or backstory to the story. Or whatever unfolds.
There will always be something new and different that I haven’t written before.
It may lead me down unexpected paths, much like my life. I want to do something extra, something special for those who support me with a paid subscription. I aim to show my gratitude for investing in me and my words. I feel honoured by your generous support.
Every dollar I receive reflects every step I’ve taken to become the writer I am today. It was once just a pipe dream, and I never thought I could achieve what I have. I still pinch myself sometimes, metaphorically speaking. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel humbled by a comment, a like, or a restack from one of my followers. I never take it for granted. I appreciate it more than you know.
The extract series is random and not in chapter order. That sounds tedious. I’ll ‘spin the bottle’ (flick through the pages) and see where it lands. It could be scary.
Thanks, beautiful friends. I’d love to hear your thoughts. I truly appreciate your comments. You make every day worth writing for.
